SYNOPSIS

Ciego de Ávila, 2013. In a kind of documentary road movie, a film crew delves into the realities of the northern lands of a Cuban province. Aboard the Carro de Puertas, a single-car train, they make this journey along the northern line. Although the route is from Morón to Punta Alegre, they make a crucial stop halfway in Falla, a town frozen in time sometime in the early 1990s and still reeling from the ravages of the economic crisis. There, amidst the material and spiritual ruins, the film crew documents the misery and neglect suffered by several generations of Cubans. This theme is the same in most of the island's towns.
